Scarlet Rivera
Scarlett Rivera is a composer and performer in her own right, she has made vital contributions to Bob Dylan’s Desire and Hard Rain albums. Dylans World of John Hammond Special for NBC, his film Renaldo and Ciara, and several cuts on Dylan’s Biograph and The Bootleg Series. Scarlet is featured on Keb Mo’s The Door, Tracy Chapman’s Crossroads; Stanley Clarkes Just Family; David Johanson’s Funky but Chic; Paraphenalia by Peacock Palace; Head Like a Rock by Ian McNabb, Sounds of the Rain Forest by Scott Fitzgerald and has toured with German superstar Peter Maffray.
As a solo artist, Scarlet is an innovator on violin—she composes an original style of music, rich in melody and texture. In collaboration with Tommy Eyre an Behind the Crimson Veil, Scarlet realized the fullest expression of their combined musical potential and delivers an exotic blend of music with performances from the searing to the sublime.
Scarlet has toured with Bob Dylan, The Indigo Girls, Tracy Chapman, The Duke Ellington Orchestra and others. In 1994 she recorded her fifth solo album, Behind the Crimson Veil, a European release on Erdenklang Records. She previously recorded Journey With An Angel on Polygram International Records, followed by the CD Live in Montreaux, as well as two Warner Bros releases. Her group has performed in concert halls and major festivals in the USA, Europe and Japan.
